The Art of Listening to your Heart!

According to a recent NPR Life Kit segment entitled: How to Help Your Kids Reframe their Anxiety and Reclaim Their Superpowers (link below) one of the most important things you can teach your children is to connect to the wisdom of their hearts. Both Renee Jain, Founder of “Go-Zen” and Dr. Shefali Tsabary, Clinical Psychologist, co-authors of Superpowered: Transform Anxiety into Courage, Confidence and Resilience, recommend a Breadcrumbs Basic!!!

“Put your hands on your heart and literally listen to your inner voice.”

I can’t overemphasize the importance of this simple move, for young and old alike. The act of placing your hands on your heart, shifts your attention, from your often racing mind, to the calm reservoir of your heart. It enables you to connect with a deeper part of yourself and, coupled with a very few minutes of conscious breathing, literally helps you to reset your compass! The ensuing flood of “Heart Intelligence” has been defined by The HeartMath Institute as:

“direct intuitive knowing that manifests in thoughts and emotions that are beneficial for ourselves and others”!!! *

It’s going to feel GREAT!!! Because, according to Jain and Tsabary, you’re simply reconnecting “with a voice that was the loudest thing in your life when you came into the world.”
