"Educating the mind without educating
the heart is no education at all."

About The Founder
Melinda Cropsey is the founder of Breadcrumbs, LLC and the author of the Breadcrumbs Social-Emotional Curriculum. This unique curriculum is rooted in her philosophy that the heart is the seat of emotional intelligence. She believes that by teaching children to tap into and celebrate their heart’s innate capacities for love, compassion, empathy, kindness, gratitude and peace, they will come to understand and trust their hearts as an alternative source of wisdom within their bodies — the Treasure in their Chest!
Melinda is the author of two children’s books: A Quiet, Happy Place: A Children’s Introduction to the Labyrinth (2017), and Penelope’s Superpower (2018).
She is a certified Labyrinth Facilitator and a member of the Labyrinth Guild of New England. Melinda is a curriculum consultant and educator. She conducts workshops for schools, libraries and museums nationwide. She lives with her husband Henry in Longmeadow, MA.
Melinda is grateful to all of the teachers, administrators and families who have supported her as she has developed and refined the Breadcrumbs Curriculum. She is especially grateful to all of the children with whom she has had the pleasure of working. They have guided and inspired her at every turn.
